The first Friday of every March is National Employee Appreciation Day. There are so many ways to celebrate this special day in your company. Most are inexpensive, simple, and not necessarily limited to a single day of the year. Some heartfelt, authentic recommendations we’ve seen are:
- Celebrate small wins
- Reward a job well done
- Share treats to celebrate the end of the month or the quarter
- Treat the team to lunch or host a potluck
- Celebrate hiring anniversaries
- Thank them often
- Praise them publicly
- Nominate them for industry and service awards
Particularly if you employ safety professionals and first responders like police officers or firefighters, this holiday should be just one of many days of recognition and thanks. Take the opportunity to involve the community – for example, invite the citizens they protect to create cards or bake cookies. Join a movement like the nonprofit, grassroots organization Thank You First Responder that is dedicated to celebrating and publicly thanking those who put their lives on the line to “protect and enhance our country and way of life.”
At GuardOne Security, we’re always on the lookout for people who go above and beyond. Our clients are generous with their praise when one of our people has done a particularly great job. Whenever we hear one of these stories, such as a grocery store guard who quickly and confidently administered help when a shopper slipped and was injured, we are honored to say that they embody I am GuardOne.
Announcing the I am GuardOne Initiative Launch
Every day is Employee Appreciation Day for GuardOne Security. On this special day, we are pleased to announce the formal roll-out of our I am GuardOne initiative. Throughout the year, we will feature exceptional team members who have been nominated by their managers for going above and beyond the call of duty to serve the client and the community. These I am GuardOne honorees will receive a certificate and stipend, and their inspiring acts of service will be shared on our blog and with the GuardOne community.
We’re committed to making sure our people feel informed, engaged, supported, and valued. It’s no surprise that we’re a company known for outstanding service, relationships, and respect. From our on-site and virtual guards to the administrative team and beyond, every single person on this team plays a major role in securing clients, communities, and one another.
We hope you’ll enjoy getting to know these exceptional I am GuardOne team members as much as we are pleased to share their stories with you!
